Photography has been in my family for a long time, it all starts with my grandma. She started to take candid photos of family members and then grew to landscapes. She plays a key role in where I stand in photo today, we have an unbreakable bond over photography. So when I heard that there was a photography class at the high school I knew that was how I could connect even more with her. So I took the class to see if this was something that really truly interested me and it did. Now a senior having 4 years of photo under my belt helps a lot.
As you might have guessed my capstone project is going to be about photography. The topic question that I will be searching to answer is "Why the photographer chose the set up of the photograph?" Meaning the reasons he made the photograph that way. Many questions branch off of this and could help keep the topic grounded. Such as "How can the camera effect the quality of the shot?" Meaning what are some ways the photographer can use the camera to better the photo. This would be an interesting topic for research because I could find different things about what the photographer is thinking when they take the picture.
I know the basics about this topic like, in order to make a quality photo you need to have the camera. The camera if a SLR or DSLR (digital single lens reflex) the camera should be set on the right shutter speed and the right aperture for the time of day/lighting condition. I will hope to find out why photographer do not always set up or stage their photos the same way. I also want to find out what makes the photographer better. How has the advancements helped out with the quality of the photos?
Sites that I will look at for helpful information.
