This book is all about photography and I have pinned certain chapters to do research on.These chapters link to my over all topic. The book that I have found is Light and Lens by: Robert Hirsch. Right now the third chapter of the book has really helped me with the basics. This chapter helped me figure out what the lens system and exposures were used for and what they did. This chapter revealed key information about the aperture. An aperture is defined as being an adjustable opening created by an adjustable diaphragm, usually an overlapping circle of metals leaves (Hirsch 77).It also says that the aperture is used to let the correct amount of light in to expose the photograph this could increase the photos intensity(78). You have the option of manually controlling the aperture or have it set on automatic (the auto setting does not make the picture better). The wider the opening of the aperture the more light is let in for exposure. The smaller the shutter speed the more depth of field and the wider the shutter speed the decrease in the depth of field (78-79).
