In my research paper I have started to write the first three sections and look to start the fourth in the next couple days. I have started to collect more sources and tried to help incorporate them into my paper. A struggle for me so far is finding information about my sources and figuring out if the author is a reliable source. Mainly some people who do blogs are not the most reliable people to grab information from because they do not have any background in the topic. They might be good sources to get information from but not the best to trust so I have tried to go to different sources to double check the information to make sure it is correct. So far my time management is not the greatest I need to focus more on my topic then getting on the internet and doing anything but look up more information for my topic.
One of the newest sources that I have found is a book By: Michael Freeman called The Photographers Eye. He is a reliable source because he is the author of more than 40 books about photography, known for special effects, and has specialized in art for many years. In his book he talks about what makes photos visual tension, what make them attractive. He also has a blog that I have been looking at to find out information. He has a lot of interesting ideas to use to increase the tension of your photos and how a different perspective would make a difference. This source has helped me find different ideas to bring into my discussion.
Alex Wise is another source that I have found I do not know much about him which scares me because I cannot prove how reliable he is, but I really enjoy the posts of his photographs. He shows the aperture and shutter speed that he used and it is very helpful for an amateur to learn what the different effects would make on the photographs. He also focuses on different types of lighting to show how a different shutter speed could change that image. I think that his blog is full of interesting information that you could use to better your photographs.
The last source that I have shown but not really talked about is Cambridge in Colour. This is a website that was founded in 2005 to help out photographers improve on their photos. The author of this website is Sean McHugh went to Oxford School of Photography. The website that he made is very helpful with the designs of the different techniques used to make the photographs. The website gives out good information about when you should be taking your photos and what you should be expecting. For instance it shows you what it is like if the day you go out to shoot is sunny or rainy because your photos will turn out different depending on the weather. This website is great for finding information about taking photographs.
